Windsor Bluesfest tickets outpacing previous two years

Online ticket sales for Windsor's Bluesfest have already outpaced numbers for previous two years combined, according to president Rob Petroni.

Windsor rock band The Tea Party is coming home to play this year's blues festival along the shores of the Detroit River.

The band will help kick off the LiunaBluesfest with a performance on opening night at the Riverfront Festival Plaza. Organizers of the increasingly popular event announced the lineup Tuesday.

Online ticket sales have already outpaced total online sales for the previous two years combined, said Robert Petroni.

"I think we hit the right mix of different genres and different bands that kind of make everybody a bit happy," he said.

Other rockers hitting the Windsor stages over the four-day event includeFoghatand blues-rock guitarist Kenny Wayne Shepherd.

Now in its fourth year, Bluesfest Windsor has been adding more acts every year and will once again have asecond stage.
