Windsor police looking for black SUV with damage after morning crash

According to police, officers were called after a cyclist was struck by a black SUV while on Matchett Road toward Prince Road.

Windsor police are looking to identify a driver in an early-morning crash in west Windsor.

According to police, officers were called after a cyclist was struck by a black SUV while on Matchett Road travelling toward Prince Road just after midnight Tuesday.

"The motorist did not stop at the scene or render aid to the victim," police said. "The vehicle involved is believed to be a black Ford Explorer or Ford Expedition, possibly with windshield damage."

Police say the person hit was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Anyone who may have been in the area at the time of the incident, or who may have dash or surveillance camera footage is asked to come forward.
