Windsor man dead after industrial accident at R.J. Cyr Co.

OPP is investigating a fatal industrial accident at 8th Concession & County Road 46 late Wednesday afternoon, in which a 51-year-old worker was killed.

A Windsor man died after he was struck by a large steel beam at R.J. Cyr Company in Maidstone.

The incident occurred shortly after 4 p.m. on Wednesday. Steel weighing approximately 544 kg fell on a worker at the company.

A 51-year-old man was taken to hospital and later died.

TheMinistry of Labour has also beencalled to investigate.

The name of the deceased is being held pending notification of next of kin.
