Windsor police dog helps arrest break and enter suspect

A Windsor police dog is being hailed for leading to the arrest of a 26-year-old male suspected for a break and enter early Friday morning.

A Windsor police dog is being creditedfor the arrest of a man suspected in a break and enter early Friday morning.

Officers were called around 4 a.m. Friday to a house on Raymond Avenue in Riverside where a basement window was smashed.

Police say fresh blood was found around the window. Police service dog Hasko was able to track the suspect, who was located four blocks away on Buckingham Road.

A 26-year-old Windsor man was charged withbreak and enter, mischief, theft, possession of stolen property and breach of probation.
