Woman arrested after another was assaulted on Dominion Boulevard in Windsor

A woman has been charged with offences including assault and assault with a weapon after another woman was hit in the head, Windsor police say.

A woman has been charged with offences including assault and assault with a weapon after another woman was hitin the head, Windsor police say.

Police got a report on Sunday, just before 6 p.m., that the victim had been hit with an "edged weapon" aftera verbal altercation at a home on Dominion Boulevard, between Ojibway and Arcadia Streets.

The victim was admitted to Windsor Regional Hospital with a head injury, but police say her condition is not life-threatening.

Police say officers quickly located and arrested a 54-year-old woman outside another house, about twoblocks north on Dominion, closer to Totten Street. She has been charged with aggravated assault and other offences, police said in a news release Monday afternoon.
