Police say 13-year-old arrested for robbery, other youth facing assault charges

Windsor police say thatseveral young teens are facing serious charges in connection with separate incidents in recent days.

Windsor police say thatseveral young teens are facing charges in connection with separate incidents in recent days.

None of the accused in thethree cases can be named because of their ages.

Arrests made in group assault

On Saturday, police said that two 14-year-olds were arrested and charged with assault causing bodily harm.

That was in connection to the beating of an autistic teen outside a bus shelter. One other arrest was previously madethat case.

Police say the investigation is ongoing.

2 youths charged with robbery

On Monday, police said that a 13-year-old and a 14-year-old were arrested in an east Windsor robbery that took place Friday.

According to police, a 22-year-old man met with the suspects to buy something.

"The suspects allegedly brandished a weapon, unsuccessfully attempted to take the victim's money, and then fled the scene," police said.

The man was unhurt. Police say the two youths were charged with robbery.

Victim sprayed with 'harmful chemical'

Also on Monday, police announced that a 15-year-old was arrested Saturday afternoon after a victim was sprayed in the face with what police called a "harmful chemical."

It happened in the3100 block of Howard Avenue.

"Officers learned that the victim, an 18-year-old male, had gotten into a verbal altercation with a 15-year-old male who was shooting cap guns inside a business," police said.

The victim ran away after spraying the chemical, according to police.

The youth faces charges of assault with a weapon and administering a noxious substance.
