Adele in talks to appear in next Xavier Dolan film, report says

Adele is reportedly in talks to appear in Montreal director Xavier Dolan's latest film, after the pair's collaboration for the music video of Hello attracted more than 324 million views.

British songstress Adele is reportedly in talks to appear in Montreal director Xavier Dolan's latest film, after the two's collaboration for the music video of Hello was viewed more than 320 million times.

Trade publication Screen Daily reported Wednesday that the Grammy-winning singer is working on making an appearance in Dolan'supcoming English-language film,The Death and Life of John F. Donovan.

Hello, the debut single fromAdele's upcoming album, titled 25, shot to No.1 on the Billboard 100, and sold 1.1 million digital copies in a week a new recordblowing past Flo Rida'sprevious record of636,000 forRight Round.

Hello's music video, directed by Dolan and shot in Montreal, currently has over 324 million views. The album25is set for release next Friday.

Adele recently expressed interest in appearing in films other than her own music videos, telling U.K.'sKiss FM radio station: "I'm sure I'll get some flak for this, but I actually would like to act after working with Xavier. I would be in a film for him, definitely."

The Death and Life of John F. Donovan stars Jessica Chastain, Kit Harrington, Susan Sarandon and Kathy Bates. It tells the story of an American television idol's penpal relationship with an 11-year-old actor.
