Auction fetches $1M for Jackson objects

More than $1 million US of Michael Jackson memorabilia is sold at an auction in China.

Basketball with Jackson, Michael Jordan signatures nets $245,000

An auction in China of celebrity items pulled in more than $1 million USfor Michael Jackson memorabilia.

The biggest selling item was a basketball bearing the signatures of thesinger, who died at age 50 in 2009, and ex-NBA player Michael Jordan. That piece got $245,000 at the auction in Macau.

A black crystal-studded glove that Jackson wore in 1995 for a video shoot garnered $180,000 US from an online buyer.And one of the performer's Beat It jackets was sold for $156,000 US more than 19 times its estimated auction price.

The Hollywood Legends sale of 435 items wasn't limited to Jackson things.

Other objects on the block included the costume and the yellow sneakers worn by Bruce Lee for Game of Death, a Madonna costume worn during her Girlie Show world tour and a Marilyn Monroe black lace bra.

A Princess Diana velvet ball gown was snatched up by a museum in South America for $114,000 US.

Saturday's sale was touted as the largest celebrity memorabilia auction ever held in Asia.
