A copy of The Beatles' Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band album autographed by all four band members was expected to sell for $30,000 dollars. It sold Saturday for $290,500.

Heritage Auctions of Dallas says the winning bidder was an anonymous Midwest collector bidding online.

Meanwhile,a draft of a letter John Lennon wrote to Paul and Linda McCartney that berates Paul is up for sale at another auction.

The letter is typed and undated but appears to be written around the time The Beatles formally broke up in 1971. It contains corrections and no signature and it's written on stationery showing Lennon and Yoko Ono within a circle about to kiss.

Among the things Lennon wrote is, "Do you really think most of today's art came about because of the Beatles? I don't believe you're that insanePauldo you believe that? When you stop believing it you might wake up!"

The letter is expected to sell for $40,000 to $60,000 dollars at an auction in New York on May 30th.
