Three new women came forward on Wednesday to allege that comedian Bill Cosby sexually assaulted them.

The women appeared at a press conference along with their attorney, Gloria Allred, who now represents 21 of the women who have come forward to accuse Cosby of alleged offences which span decades.

The latest accusers include Linda Ridgeway and Eden Tirl, who had brief careers as actresses, and Colleen Hughes, a former flight attendant.

Tirl, a former model, alleged that Cosby sexually assaulted her in 1989 on the set of The Cosby Show, in which she appeared in two episodes.

Cosby, 78, has not been charged with a criminal offence, but has suffered a series of repercussions professionally as dozens of women have come forward to accuse him of sexual assault.

The July 27 issue of New York Magazine featured a black and white cover illustrating 35 accusers.

Hughes on Wednesday alleged that Cosby drugged her prior to the assault, which has been an accusation levelled by several of his accusers.

Cosby admitted in a now-unsealed deposition from 2005 in response to a sexual abuse lawsuit filed by Canadian Andrea Constand, a former Temple University employee, that he had previously given a woman quaaludes for the purposes of having sex with her.

Cosby was recently ordered by a judge to give a sworn deposition in response to allegations from Judy Huth regarding an alleged incident at the Playboy Mansion in 1974.

Allred, Huth's attorney, said Wednesday that Cosby is scheduled to be deposed in the civil case on Oct. 9.

Allred said she believes more women will come forward in the future.
