Robert De Niro rips into Donald Trump, calling him 'mutt', 'pig', 'bozo', 'idiot'

Robert De Niro isn't holding back when it comes to Donald Trump the veteran actor wants to 'punch' the U.S. Republican presidential nominee in the face.

Robert De Niro unleashed a flood of insults against U.S. Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump in a video that surfaced online Friday.

Robert De Niro isn't holding back when it comes to DonaldTrump the veteran actor wants to "punch" the U.S. Republican presidential nominee "in the face."

In a one-minute video releasedFriday, De Nirocalls the businessman-turned-politician a "mutt who doesn't know what he's talking about, doesn't do his homework" and "doesn't care."

"He's so blatantly stupid, he's a punk, he's a dog, he's a pig, he's a con," De Niro saidtocamera ontheblack-and-white video. "It makes me so angry that this country has gotten to this point that this bozo, this fool, has wound up where he has."

The video, which first aired on Fox News' The Kelly File is an outtake from a celebritypublic service announcement encouraging American voters to register for the Nov. 8 election.

"He talks about how he wants to punch people in the face," the Oscar winner saidabout Trump."Well, I'd like to punch him in the face."

The final version of the PSA, which includes De Niro,Kendall Jenner, Anne Hathaway, Leonardo DiCaprio,Julia Roberts and other recognizable faces, is a non-partisan message by Anonymous Contentand part of an initiative called #VoteYourFuture.

It's the not first timeDe Nirohas gone offscript when it comes to his feelings aboutTrump. The Taxi Driver and Godfather actorwas also vocal about his political stance at theSarajevoFilm Festival last month.

"What he has been saying is totally crazy, ridiculous... he is totally nuts," De Niro said about Trumpduring a question and answer session at the event.

While De Niro's latest remarks surfaced following the controversial comments made by Trump in 2005 about groping women, the actor's rant was filmed beforehand.

"WhatI care about is the direction of this country,"DeNirosaid near the end of the video. "And what I'm very,very worried about is that it might go in the wrong direction with someone like Donald Trump."
