J.K. Rowlinghas revealed in a series of tweets to fans new details about her upcoming Harry Potter spin-off film,Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, forwhich she is writing her firstscreenplay.
An American school of wizardry will play a part in the new film andmagic based on "American Indian"culture will be involved, it appears fromRowling'stweets.

The name of the wizarding school in Americais of "immigrant origin," Rowling tweeted,andthe location is somewhere other than New York."Indigenous magic [is]important in the founding of the school," she wrote.

Warner Bros. recentlyconfirmed long-standing rumoursthatTheTheory of Everything actor EddieRedmayne will play Newt Scamander in the Harry Potter spin-off film. Scamander isthe wizard who wrote the titularHogwarts School textbook,70 years before the firstHarry Potterfilmtookplace.
"Eddie is a fearless actor, brimming with invention, wit and humanity," director David Yatessaid in a statement. "I couldn't be more excited about the prospect of working with him."
Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is the firstin a planned trilogy.
The filmis set for worldwide releaseonNov. 18, 2016.
