A California judge approved a Michael Jackson movie deal Monday.

Michael Jackson fans will get to see the star perform on the big screen one last time.

A California judge approved a Jackson movie deal Monday.

Superior Court Judge Mitchell Beckloff approved a contract between concert promoter AEG Live, Columbia Pictures and Jackson's estate, which states a Jackson movie will be made using footage from his concert rehearsals for his This is Ittour.

Coroner not ready to release cause of Jackson's death

Though the Los Angeles Coroner's Office has determined the cause and manner of Michael Jackson's death, officials said Monday they will not yet release the results.

According to Assistant Chief Coroner Ed Winter, police detectives asked for the results to remain sealed pending their investigation into the events leading up to Jackson's death.

More than 100 hours of rehearsal footage was shot of the King of Pop preparing for his comeback tour before his sudden death on June 25 from cardiac arrest.

AEG Live spearheaded the deal between Columbia Pictures and the executor's of Jackson's estate, hoping to recoup the millions lost in ticket sales.

Representatives of Jackson's will and music industry executive John McClain have said that the movie deal could add "millions of dollars of revenue to Michael Jackson's estate."

Court documents show that Jackson's estate will receive 90 per cent of the profits with the other 10 per cent going to AEG Live.

The $60-million movie deal could also feature videos that were to be displayed during Jackson's final concerts.

Beckloff, who had until Monday to approve the film, allowed Jackson's mother Katherine to review the contracts and raise any objections.
