The red carpet for the 2014 Academy Awards was a star-studded affair graced by Oscar nominees and, in some cases,winners by the end of the night and other Hollywood celebrities.

"Im enjoying it and this is the highlight of my life right now," saidBarkhad Abdi, who is nominated for best supporting actor for his role inCaptain Phillips.

Lupita Nyong'o, who later in the night won best supporting actress for her role in12 Years a Slave, donned Prada on the red carpet.
