South Park first debuted in 1997 and quickly became popular for its crude humour.

The show follows a group of four boys, Stan, Kyle, Eric and Kenny and their adventures in the fictional town of South Park, Colorado.

The comedy series has been known to spark controversies for its portrayal of touchy subjects like religion.

In 1999, a feature-length musical film entitled South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut was released. The film shows the people of South Park in a war with Canada and features the Oscar-nominated song Blame Canada.

The French-language version of South Park will be broadcast on the TQS network in September.
