The director of dark, intense dramas Enemy, Prisoners,Incendiesand Polytechniquewas approached to shoot a long-awaited sequel to Ridley Scott's landmark science fiction saga, which will see original star Harrison Ford return in a key role.
Villeneuve revealed a few details about theBlade Runner 2project in Toronto, where he is promoting his new Mexican drug cartel thriller Sicario.
