More kids products recalled over lead levels

Children's birthday cards and Disney jewelry are among products being recalled in the U.S. and Canada because of high lead levels.

Children's birthday cards and Disney jewelry are among products being recalled in the U.S. and Canada because of high lead levels.

About 252,000 Tiny Tink and Friends toy jewelry sets by Disney have been recalled. Most of the sets were sold in the U.S., butabout 337 were sold in Canada.

The recall addresses the jewelry setcharms that are attached to a cord using a metal ring and cylinder. They're included with the sets as a separate accessory children can attach to the jewelry or key chain.

The second recall involves 174,000 Papyrus brand greeting cards that come with wood-bead bracelets.

The front of the card says "Happy Birthday to You" and includes an attached bead in the shape of a heart with the word "smile" printed on it.

The colourful bracelet includes wooden beads, with one in the shape of a butterfly.

They've been recalled by California-based importer Schurman Fine Papers after testing found excessive levels of leadin paint on the wooden beads.

There have been no reports of injury concerning either product, however parents and caregivers are being advised to take the products away from children and contact the companies about a refund.
