The spread of the Ebola virus has devastated West African countries including Liberia and Sierra Leone, having claimed more than 10,000 lives. Transmission of the virus has been confined to a narrow corridor in Guinea and Sierra Leone, though the WHO cautions that the residents in these regions are highly mobile.
