The government is finally getting a break from answering Senate questions now that the House has adjourned.

The Senate-PMO scandal was undoubtedly the dominant Canadian political story of 2013, but it certainly wasn't the only one.

From Canada's free-trade agreement-in-principle with the EU, to Justin Trudeau's first few months as Liberal leader and the tensions between First Nations and the federal government, there was a lot to chew on this year.
