Elizabeth May offers barbed 'defence' of Bev Oda

Bev Oda's decision to step down as an MP and cabinet minister in the wake of controversies over her spending habits sparked an unusual "defence" from Green Party leader Elizabeth May - though maybe not the kind of support Oda was looking for.
Bev Oda announced on her website Tuesday that she informed the prime minister last month she would be stepping down as International Cooperation minister and Durham MP on July 31. That brought a blog post in her 'defence' by Green Party leader Elizabeth May. (Canadian Press)

Green Party Leader Elizabeth May (sort of) defends outgoing international cooperation minister Bev Oda ... and demonstrates the art of the eye-catching headline.
