Refugees, Keystone, security play prominently in Munk debate

The three main party leaders jousted over Syria, the refugee crisis and the Keystone pipeline during Monday's Munk debate on Canadian foreign policy in Toronto.

The three main party leaderssparred over citizenship,security and the Keystone pipelineduring the Munkleaders' debate on Canadian foreign policy in Toronto.The debate began withquestions about Syria, refugees and security.

It was thefourth of five debates in this marathon election campaign, with polls suggesting that no one has broken into a lead, despite differences between the parties.

Those differences were on full displayas Conservative LeaderStephen Harper, NDP Leader Tom Mulcair and Liberal Leader Justin Trudeau battledover Canada's place in the world.

The Munk Debates offereda live stream of the bilingual event, with translation. The debate was also live streamed on Facebook and carried on CPAC (the Cable Public Affairs Channel) and CHCH.
