Sen. Linda Frum says husband falsely accused of mischief by Texas Rangers manager

Senator LindaFrum says her husband,Howard Sokolowski,was wronglyaccused of mischief by Texas Rangers managerJeff Banister,after a baby was hit Wednesday night by the spray of a thrown beerduring the American League Divisional Series final gamewon by the Toronto Blue Jays.

Frum took to Twitter to clarify the situation.

David Frum, Sokolowski's brother-in-law and senior editor of The Atlantic, remarked on the controversy, prompting his sister to make light of the situation.

In 2011, Sokolowski was appointed to the Order of Ontario for "his contributions to the arts, health care and education."

The atmosphere at the Rogers Centrewas boisterous and at timesunruly.

Fans tossed beer cans and other debris onto the field after a controversial call in the seventh inning that gave the Rangers a short-lived lead.

Toronto police Const. Victor Kwong says Albert Grummitt was arrested and charged with mischief. Hehas been released andis due in court on Nov. 24.
