The Senate suspensions: How they voted

The Senate voted to suspend Senators Patrick Brazeau, Mike Duffy and Pamel Wallin Tuesday night in three separate votes on the same motion to take away their pay and resources while allowing them to keep medical benefits.

The Conservatives voted largely in favour of the motion for each senator, and the Liberals voted against, with some abstentions on both sides.

Senator Hugh Segal was the only Conservative to vote against the motions.

Brazeau left the chamber immediately after his suspension was passed, while Wallin abstained on her own vote and Duffy was not present. Senate Speaker Noel Kinsella does not vote except in the case of ties. A handful of Conservative and Liberal senators were absent.
