Wednesdays with @Kady replay: Abortion march joins MP speech debate

Replay blogger Kady O'Malley's weekly "people's caucus." Our topics: Does this year's March for Life on Parliament Hill have a renewed political energy after the MP free speech debate? Plus: the long-awaited Senate expenses report comes out tomorrow.

Plus: Senate expenses review goes public tomorrow, son-of-long-form-census data now out

There's always plenty to chat about with Kady O'Malley.

On Wednesdays, CBCNews.ca's Politics blogger convenes a "people's caucus" to discuss and debate the issues of the week, so far.

Featured this week:

  • Tomorrow crowds on both sides of the abortion debate are expected to descend on Parliament Hill for the annual March for Life rally. After months of political debate around whether MPs should be talking about this issue, and if so, how... do recent free speech fights colour your perspective on this annual event?
  • A much-anticipated report on the Senate expenses review is also out Thursday. Yesterday, Liberal Senator Mac Harb suggested he may be vindicated by the findings, while other reports have suggested thousands of dollars in expenses may be about to be repaid by senators fingered in the controversy. What do you make of how the controversy is playing out - and what it says about the Senate's ability to manage its affairs?
  • Statistics Canada released data today from its voluntary household survey, otherwise known as the successor to the now-cancelled long-form census. The latest data leaves some communities under-represented compared to the data that would have been available previously. In retrospect, how do you feel about the census changes?
