Apple launches new MacBook Pro with Force Touch

Apple is introducing an updated MacBook Pro and iMac,

The updated 15-inch MacBook Pro laptop hasfaster flash storage,a longer battery life and a new style oftrackpad- its pressure-sensitive Force Touch feature can distinguish between light taps and deep presses. Pricingstarts at $2,449 in Canada.

The new $2,399iMac desktop computer has a higher-resolution 27-inch screen and faster processor.

Apple lowered the price for itstop-end iMacin the U.S., but will continue tosell it for $2,749 in Canada.

The news comes ahead of Apple's worldwide developers conference June 8.
