2015's most popular Halloween costumes, according to Google

If what peopleare searching for onlineisany indication(and it almost always is)you can expect to see a lot of Harley Quinnin Canadaon Saturday night.

Data provided to CBC News by Google Canada shows that Quinn, the lovesickDC Comics super villain, has beeninspiring more costume queries among Canadians in recent days than anyone oranything else.

Set to appear as the Joker's pigtailed girlfriend/sidekick in 2016'sSuicide Squad, Quinnalso currentlytops Google's"most searched for costumes" list in the U.S.

Comic book and film charactersappear to be popularamong costume seekersright now.

Of the 18 top searched costumes on Google Canada'slist, 11 of them are inspired by movies a few ofwhich, such asDeadpoolandStar Wars: The Force Awakens,have not even beenreleased yet.

Costumes inspired by films released this year, like Mad Max: Fury Road, Minionsand Fantastic Four, are also likely to be snapped up by last-minute shoppers over the next few days.

If there are any left in stores, that is.

According to Google, 50per cent of all Halloween costume and decoration searches in Canadahappen within fivedays of Oct. 31.

So, if youwant to dress up like Black Widow or the Joker yourself this year, you should probablyact fast (or get to DIYing)because the mad rush is on.
