A New York magazine publisherwho told his Twitter followers he would "throw my cellphone in some teriyaki stir fry and eat it" if the Raptors won two games made good on the first part of the bet, at least.

Kazeem Famuyidemade the initial statement shortly afterToronto's NBA team beat the Miami Heat in Game 7 of their Eastern Conference series, sendingthe Raptors to the third round against the favoured Cleveland Cavaliers.

The Cavseasilywon the first two games of the series at home, but Toronto won Game 3, Cleveland'sfirst loss of the playoffs, and setting up Mondaynight's game.

Cleveland rebounded to erase an 18-point Raptors lead, but Toronto held on to win itssecond game of the series, thanks in part to the defensive play of their Congolese big man.

As the result of the game became clear, Famuyide began the preparations to fry up his phone, amid razzing from his Twitter followers.

ButFamuyide soon realized he had a problem. His phone was the only camera he had on him.

So, with the phone in the pan, he turned the camera back on himself.

RIP, Kaz's phone.
