Temper-tantrum toddler finally gets to meet Harjit Sajjan

The two-year-old who threw a tantrum after missing Defence MinisterHarjit SajjanduringCanada Day celebrations because he was at home in Vancouverfinally got her way.

Sophia Popalyarwas invited to Parliament where she metSajjan and was given a personalized tour by the minister.

"Let's go sit in the Speaker's chair," Sajjan saidto the toddlerin a video posted by the Liberal Party of Canada on Thursday.

The minister then explains to his young fan aSpeaker's job is "like theprincipal" as she pressedbuttons on themotor-powered chair.

He hands her several gifts including a miniature hockey stick, they fist bump, and Sajjan concludes by saying he expects thepolitically astutetoddler will beimparting her wisdom very soon.

Popalyarwent viral last fall when her dad posted a video of herrhyming off the namesof several cabinet ministers.

OnCanada Day, Popalyarwas headed to Parliament Hill for celebrationswhere she thought she would seeSajjan. So when her family decided to turn around and head home because of rain, she burst into tears.

Her fatherfilmed the hysterics, posting the video online.

"I want to go to Parliament," she'sheard crying in the video. "To see who?" her dad asks."To see Harjit Sajjan," she whines.

Days later, Sajjan responded toPopalyar'steary video by promising a meetup which he delivered on today.
