Charlie Hebdo shooting in Paris: Photos and video

It tookjust minutes formasked gunmen to kill 12 peopleat the Paris offices of satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo. Video and images of the attack emerged online almost as quickly as police and emergency officials responded.

Journalist Martin Boudotcaptured some of the attack as he huddled on a rooftop above the scene.

His footageshows two masked gunmen fleeing the scene shouting "We have avenged the Prophet Muhammad! Charlie Hebdois dead!"

The imagesillustrate the terror and frantic aftermath withesses like Corinne Rey describe. Rey, a cartoonist known as"Coco",told the newspaper L'Humanit the gunman threatened her before storming thebuilding:

"I had gone to pick up my daughter at the daycare. When I arrived at the door of the newspaper building, two masked, armed men threatened us. They wanted to go inside, upstairs. I put in the [door] code. They shot at (cartoonists) Wolinski, Cabu...It lasted five minutes...I hid under a desk. They spoke perfect French. They claimed to belong to Al-Qaeda."
