The murder trial of the wife ofousted Chinese politicianBo Xilai, who is accused of killing a British businessman,has begun, in what many see as the biggest political scandal in China in decades.

Gu Kailai is accused of poisoning Neil Haywood, a longtime friend and business partner of the Bo family.
