Japan's scarecrow village reflects dwindling population

In the village of Nagoro, on the southern Japanese island of Shikoku, a dwindling population is motivating one resident to repopulate with hand-sewn scarecrows. Now dubbed Scarecrow Village, Nagoro's greying community is a microcosm of Japan, where the population has been falling for a decade.
