Japan's recovery from the devastating March 11 earthquake and tsunami has been slowed by widespread fuel and water shortages and growing radiation fears. Here is a map of the recovery efforts in Iwate, Miyagi and Fukushima, three of Japan's hardest hit prefectures.

Japan'srecovery from the devastating March 11 earthquake and tsunami has been slowed bygripping radiation fears as workers struggle to contain the badly damagedFukushima Daiichi nuclear power complex, 220 kilometres northeast of Tokyo.

Many people in the northern region of the country have been displaced and are waiting in crowded evacuation centres. Fuel and water shortages are widespread.

Meanwhile, workers are clearing the rubble and beginning construction on temporary housing.
