Royal newlyweds to visit Canada: report

Prince William and Kate Middleton will visit Canada in July, three months after their April 29 wedding, a British tabloid is reporting.

Prince William, heir to the British throne, and his bride Kate Middleton will visit Canada in July, three months after their April 29 wedding,the British tabloid The Sun reports.

There has been no confirmation from anyone associated with the Royal Family.

Sources tell the newspaper William and Kate will start their two-week visit on the East Coast and end it in British Columbia.

Prime Minister Stephen Harper extended a formal invitation to the royal couple when he welcomed the announcement of their engagement in November.

The report says William is understood to be personally overseeing the program to ensure it does not overwhelm his new wife.
