Canadian family mulls Lebanon departure over Syria fears
Threat of foreign military action in Syria hangs over Habbas family
Maher Habbas has known war since he was six years old, when the civil war began in Lebanon. Years later, he left for Canada and started a family in Vancouver.
He recently moved his family back to Lebanon but remained in Vancouver, while supporting his family.His hope was to introduce his daughters to their Lebanese roots in a time of peace.
Those plans changed and now hes flown to Beirut because his family is scared of the threat of foreign military action in neighbouring Syria.
