One of Amy Winehouse's final recordings a duet with Tony Bennett of the jazz standard Body and Soul will be released as a single to raise money for a new charity in her name.

The British soul singerdied at age 27 on July 23, after a long battle with alcohol and drugs. An official cause of death for Winehouse has not been determined.

Her father, Mitch Winehouse, is creating a foundation named after the troubled award-winner to help young people steer clear of drugs.

Bennett praised Winehouse as a "true jazz singer" after they recorded Body and Soul at Abbey Road Studios in London. The song is also part of the Duets II album he is releasing on Sept. 20.

"What's going to happen is that we're putting [Body and Soul] out ahead of the album," Bennett said on the Today show this week.

"It's going to a foundation that her father started to teach all the young children not to take drugs and all the royalties of the record will go to that."

The exact release date of the single has yet to be finalized, according to Sony Music.

High-profile singing partners

Duets II features Bennett, who celebrated his 85th birthday on Wednesday, performing with Canadians k.d. lang and Michael Bubl as well as U.S. singers such as Lady Gaga and Willie Nelson.

Bubl, the Vancouver singer who counts Bennett among his idols, joined with him to sing Don't Get Around Much Anymore, while lang and Bennett teamed up for Blue Velvet. Bubl's track is being released this week for those who pre-order Duets II on iTunes.

"One of the most important things about being a great singer is that your voice is unmistakable when someone hears it. Tony Bennett's voice.. no one even sounds close," said Bubl, who previously recorded the song Just in Time with the elder crooner.

With Lady Gaga, Bennett recorded The Lady Is a Tramp. He alsocollaborated with Aretha Franklin, Norah Jones, Queen Latifah and John Mayer for Duets II, a follow-up to his 2006 album Duets.
