Sweet music video made from 288,000 jelly beans

A vibrant stop-motion music video using 288,000 jelly beans has become a sweet YouTube sensation, logging more than two million hits in just a few days.

The animated video for American singer-songwriter Kina Grannis's 2010 hit In Your Arms runs nearly three and a half minutes, but took almost two years to complete, after some 1,357 hours of painstaking work by a dedicated team of candy artisans.

An accompanying making-of video has also been posted to YouTube, with director Greg Jardin explaining that some 2,460 still frames had to be shot - some taking hours to set up and photograph.

Grannis, 26, recently received MTV's O Music award for best web-born artist. She shot to fame after winning a 2008 Doritos contest that let her create a one-minute video for the Super Bowl XLII commercial break. The opportunity eventually led to her recording contract and she has since drawn 78 million viewers to her YouTube channel.
