Faces of the Lac-Mégantic tragedy

47 victims remembered at local memorial mass

On July 27, 2013, citizens of Lac-Mégantic, Que., gathered in the town's church for a memorial service commemorating the victims of the train derailment and resulting explosions on July 6.

The service began with a reading of the names of the 47 people on the official list of the deceased or presumed deceased. They ranged in age from four to 93.

CBC News and Radio-Canada have been compiling information about the victims as released by their families and the Quebec coroner's office.
