Torch run: Who would you like to see along the Olympic route?

Hockey star Sidney Crosby will carry the Olympic torch in Halifax on Wednesday.

The captain of the Stanley Cup-winning Pittsburgh Penguins is making abrief stop in his home province to join the Olympic torch relayfestivities.

The event will be memorable, said Mike Gillett, co-ordinator of the relay in the Halifax Regional Municipality.

"For a lot of people, that's going to be very special. [Crosby's] somuch a powerful sports hero in Canada, definitely here in HRM," saidGillett. "It's gonna be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for people tosee him with the Olympic flame."

The torch will make its way across Canada before arriving in Vancouver for the start of the Winter Games next year.
