Cable and phone providers: What do you look for?

According to a story in the Globe and Mail, Telus Corp. claims that Shaw Communications is using tactics like keeping customers on hold for hours, or taking weeks to respond to a request, in order to keep people from switching to the competition.
Shaw denies the claim.
In the ever-expanding telecommunications field, companies are working harder to keep customers from making the switch.
