Electric cars: How much would you pay for 1?

The Chevrolet Volt electric car will cost $41,000 US when it goes on sale in the United States in November, General Motors Co. says.
The electric hybrid car runs on battery power, but has a small gas engine to generate electricity once the battery runs down.
The price is about $8,000 more than its closest rival, the all-electric Nissan Leaf, which goes on sale in the U.S. in December.
Canadians looking to purchase a Volt or a Leaf will have to wait until later in 2011.
