Politics: Harper at UN

Prime Minister Stephen Harper is set to address the United Nations Millennium Development Goal Summit on Tuesday in New York City in a bid to gain a seat for Canada on the coveted Security Council.
Opposition members are calling on Harper's Conservative government to unfreeze its international development budget, saying Canada won't have a chance at a seat on the UN Security Council if it doesn't.
Canada and 188 other UN member states agreed to the goals in 2000, vowing to minimize extreme poverty, hunger and disease, and to promote gender equality, education and environmental sustainability.
Given that Prime Minister Stephen Harper is at the United Nations today, and that Canada is lobbying for a seat on the United Nations Security Council, we thought we'd ask you:
