From an octopus correctly predicting World Cup wins to KFC's bunless chicken burger, 2010 had no shortage of bizarre stories. Every night on the CBC News Network program Connect, host Mark Kelley shares his end of show Disconnect. It's a headline from the day that just didn't quite add up.
As the year comes to an end, Connect wants to know what you think the biggest Disconnect of the year was. Below are five favourites for you to choose from.
- Paul the Octopus. An octopus in Germany correctly predicts World Cup matches, and becomes a star.
- Hologram crosswalk. A 3D street image is used to prevent accidents in Vancouver.
- Double Down. Two chicken filets, two pieces of bacon, two slices of cheese, no bun.
- Ashton and Demi at the UN. Ashton Kutcher works with the UN, and it's not an episode of "Punk'd."
- Kid who went to heaven. 4-year-old child says he went to heaven, Fox News interviews him.
Catch Connect on the News Network weeknights live from 8:00 - 9:00 p.m. ET or watch online at cbc.ca/connect.
