Time Magazine has listed 25 candidates for its annual Person of the Year issue.
From the founder of the controversial whistleblowing website WikiLeaks, Julian Assange, to Turkish Prime Minister Recep Erdogan and the Chilean miners unearthed in October, the nominees are a varied group of much-discussed personalities.
Editors of the U.S. publication will make the final decision, but Time has also invited readers to vote for their picks.
In the past, Time has characterized the selection of Person of the Year as the person, group or even idea considered to have "done the most to influence the events of the year."
Which Canadian do you think deserves recognition as the Person of the Year here?
Who would you most like to see win as Person of the Year?
