Parliament resumes: Which political party best represents your priorities?

Opposition leaders condemned the Conservative government's "wrong priorities" as MPs returned to Ottawa Monday for the resumption of Parliament.

The comments came as MPs returned to Ottawa from their extended winter break, which featured several weeks of pre-campaign posturing and duelling attack ads that suggest the parties are gearing up for a spring election.

During separate interviews with CBC News in Ottawa, Liberal Leader Michael Ignatieff and NDP Leader Jack Layton reiterated their opposition to Prime Minister Stephen Harper's commitment to corporate tax cuts.

"This government's priorities are prisons, planes and tax cuts for corporations that are making a lot of money," Ignatieff said in an interview with CBC News: Morning' s Reshmi Nair.
Conversely, the Conservatives have accused the opposition leaders, especially Ignatieff, of conspiring to trigger an "opportunistic" and "unnecessary" election at a time when Canada's economic recovery is still vulnerable.
