TIFFer stories and opinions needed!

roger-bio-52.jpgMy fellow TIFFers: is it all right to call you that? After writing my first post, I found myself unsatisfied with the use of "festival-goer." It's a little too broad, and a bit of a mouthful. And "attendee" is even broader, and not as versatile. TIFFer lacks eloquence, but I like the simplicity of it, and there's no mistaking what the word refers to. Unless, of course, someone confuses us for fans of 1980s pop star Tiffany. To help avoid confusion -- and I know this is going to be hard, especially when the lights go down in the theatre -- please refrain from either signing or humming I Think We're Alone Now.

So, what are your thoughts on TIFFer? Or what about TIFFER? Or Tiffer? Please let me know in the comments section of this post. And while you're there, maybe you can help me out by answering a few questions for some other pieces I have brewing for this blog. I know it's still early in the festival, so feel free to draw on your past experiences so that we can help inform the newcomers on the nuances of TIFF.

Do you prefer to TIFF on your own, or with company? As you dash from one screening to the next, is it a hindrance to have to co-ordinate with friends? Or, do you prefer to tag-team your way through the festival?

What makes for a good post-screening Q & A? What are some of the best and worst questions you've heard at TIFF Q & As? Any questions you think should be placed on moratorium?

What's your favourite TIFF venue? With the arrival of the Bell LightBox, TIFF adds several new screens to its roster of venues. Which venues, past and present, have been your favourites?

Please, feel free to respond to any of these topics in the comments section below. You can also send an email to yournews@cbc.ca.
