With Parliament sitting, federal politicians are constantly under the microscope. But they're not alone. Of all our staff, the work of the journalists who cover Ottawa may be scrutinized most closely.

At CBC News, we are always examining how well we what we do. Recently, we created an internal video which we would like to share with you. In it Evan Solomon, host of CBC News: Power and Politics, discusses some core journalistic issues with contributors James Cudmore and Hannah Thibedeau.

These include achieving balance in all-day news cycle; how to represent multiple points of view when access to some politicians and parties are more difficult than others; and dealing with perceptions of bias that are directed at the CBC.
