Radiant northern lights over Alberta

Another solar storm has brought the aurora borealis, a.k.a. the northern lights, to southern Canada and elsewhere.

In recent days, the sun has released three powerful eruptions, one of which has given us the latest dazzling display of the northern lights.

Photographers with Reuters, The Canadian Press and Radio-Canada were out Monday night in Alberta chasing the dancing lights, and here are some of the stunning stills they made.
