If You Need a Break From Your Kids For Five Minutes, Try This

There is no shortage of ideas to keep kids busy while parents work.

Once lockdown kicked off, we even made our own lists of recipes, indoor and outdoor activities, games and exercises to keep parents and kids happy in unprecedented times. Those are still relevant to this day, if you haven't already checked them out. 

But what about those short-term needs. Maybe you want to button your shirt properly for the first time in five months, or comb or brush your hair into a presentable state. Maybe you'd like to put on pants. Or maybe you want to casually breeze to the bathroom without kids' hands pawing at you for snacks or attention. 

If your bladder has ever felt like it was going to explode because you can't shake your kids for five minutes and then you're left running to the john before it's too late, we've designed an activity that's perfect for tiny victories. 

We've created two colouring sheets that feature our iconic CBC Kids and CBC logos, because who doesn't want the opportunity to be a branding genius? 

For a happy, smiley activity, try the CBC Kids logo. Kids can add all sorts of flare, including — maybe! — a sketch of one Gary the Unicorn. The sky's the limit, and be sure to share your final works of art with us on Instagram by tagging @cbckidsca and using the hashtag #CBCcolouring.

Colouring sheets are always great to keep handy if you have access to a printer! And sure, this may not give you a ton of free time, but maybe you can read a whole article on your phone while you sit on the toilet, even if you don't actually have to go. But that will be our little secret.
