So, you're ready to make your own gumball machine costume. Here is all you need to know.

  • hot glue gun

How It's Made

1. Making the gumball hat

You're going to need a few bags of pompoms and several glue sticks to get this job done. You can also use a ball approximately the size of your child's head and a roll of tape to build your own little hatstand to help while you're gluing. Simply take the pompomps, put a dab of hot glue on the end and press onto the hat. Repeat until the whole hat is covered.

2. Making the shirt

Take a piece of black felt and cut it into a square. Hot glue the square onto a red shirt. Now take a piece of tinfoil and fold it into a long and skinny strip. Bend the tin foil to make the number 2 and the number 5 and a cents symbol. Glue these to the shirt.
