Eid Craft: Moon And Star Magnets
Jul 14, 2015
Kids' CBC learned all about Eid this month. Eid marks the end of Ramadan and begins at the sighting of the new moon.
Patty celebrated Eid with a simple moon magnet craft—you can make one at home! Eid Mubarak!
You Will Need:
- a cookie sheet
- construction paper (blue, black or dark purple)
- heavy cardstock
- tape
- markers
- scissors
- magnets (available at dollar stores or craft supply stores)
- glue
Instructions:
1. Make your cookie sheet into a night sky by covering it with blue, black or dark purple construction paper. Tape the edges of the construction paper to the cookie sheet.
2. Draw things that you would find in the night sky on the cardstock—stars, moon, a rocketship, whatever!
3. Cut the shapes out of the cardstock.
4. Glue magnets to the back of the shapes. Let the glue dry.
5. After the glue is dry, decorate your night sky using your shapes. Eid Mubarak!
This activity is also great for rainy day or on-the-go play!
